Diesel arrived at West Suburban Humane Society from Hancock County Animal Control in March 2017 as an adorable ten-week-old puppy.
Not every animal can stay at the WSHS adoption center; they may be too young, have medical concerns, or have behavioral issues.
A sense of community is what brings Lorraine Ambler to WSHS every week. Lorraine is the shift coordinator on Friday afternoons in the kennel.

At West Suburban Humane Society, we talk a lot about the animals that come to us with medical needs. We also have many animals, dogs especially, that come to us with behaviors that need to be addressed before they can become a loving part of someone's family.
