Love is a Pet Away
“I wish I could take all of them home!”
That’s what you say, walking through the shelter, looking at the cats and dogs who need loving, forever families. You may choose one to save, but the others remain, and you think of their small, vulnerable faces in kennels and cages.
Throughout the year the West Suburban Humane Society will be featuring the work of the rescues who send us adoptable animals. The majority of our adoptable kittens and cats come from Feral Fixers, an organization that focuses on spaying and neutering feral cats in the western suburbs.
You can create a lasting legacy of love at the West Suburban Humane Society.
The Saturday 4-5 pm house cats volunteer shift is truly unusual. Why? Because is consists solely of mother-daughter teams!
Adoptable Sami is dreaming that she will be in a home for Christmas. For a dog who until recently lived her entire life in a puppy mill our wish is to make that dream come true.
