We have worked with West Suburban for many years and can say that the care and treatment of the animals in their care is fabulous. There are many organizations that rescue animals but few that put the time, money, heart and soul into their animals the way West Suburban does.

I am more in love with WSHS today than when I started volunteering 14 years ago. I have found true friendships in the forms of animals, staff, and other volunteers. Dedication and passion are at our foundation, and I cannot imagine my life with the West Suburban Humane Society.

About a year after my loss, I started thinking about bringing a new dog into my life. From the minute I walked into WSHS I knew I was in the right place. Total focus on the adoption. Making sure that we had the best chance for success. And did we ever succeed! I am now the proud friend of a great dog and none of it would be possible without the help, dedication, and attention I received from start to finish. Thank you WSHS for saving a very special dog.

Suburban K9 values our relationship with WSHS and we recommend them to every potential adopter we can. The caring staff makes WSHS a truly special place.

Volunteering at WSHS is very fulfilling. Not only do I help with the care and well being of the animals, I work along side other volunteers and staff who do everything possible to insure that every animal that comes in gets the best chance to live a healthy and happy life.

We have partnered with West Suburban Humane Society for over 10 years. The level of effort put forth by the staff and volunteers is amazing! Not only do they provide food, shelter and love, they truly care about the health and well-being of the animals by providing much needed medical care. They never give up on these wonderful cats and dogs, we are lucky to have West Suburban in our community and we’re glad not only call them partners, but our friends!

I had been searching for a companion for my 12 year old Boston Terrier and was having trouble finding just the right fit... WSHS sent me an e-mail with a transport of dogs that needed homes... That's when I saw Buddy. After many weeks of trying to secure this little guy, I was able to meet the perfect 'Buddy' for my family. WSHS didn't only look after the transport of my pup, but also made sure he found his home with us. Buddy is nothing less than spectacular
