It was a cold, winter day in late January when we received a call about a stray cat. He showed up on the doorstep of a Good Samaritan and begged to be let in out of the cold.
As excited as we have been for our new adoption center to open, we knew moving from our home for the past 30 years was not going to be an easy task.

It was the luckiest day of Toby’s life when a WSHS supporter called the shelter about an injured cat she found. He was an unneutered male stray, trying to make it through outdoor life without being attacked by other males.
When you walk into the cattery on a Wednesday afternoon, you will be greeted by up to 30 cats and four welcoming women! Janice Mack, Karen Putnam, Tracy Tureson, and Julie Appler love getting to know all of the cats that stay in the cattery until adoption.
